Plan to arrive in Tucson on Sunday, October 30.  You will be able to check-in at the La Paloma in the afternoon. We’ll have a casual Meet and Greet on Sunday evening, then let you drift off to a great night’s sleep in the shadows of the Catalina Mountains.

Conference Agenda will include:
Employment Law Update and Workshop with Mark Berry, from Davis, Wright, Tremaine, LLC;
“In A Perfect World” – 5 Golden Rules for Seasonal Employers” with Dina Cipollaro-Beck from FUNdamental Training Solutions;
“Utilizing the Service Success Cycle in Seasonal HR Operations” with Nick Marcovecchio from Stout Street Hospitality in Denver, CO;
What in the World?!” – J1 updates and education
HR Jeopardy – refresh your HR knowledge in a fun way;
“Undercover HR” – what your employees aren’t telling you

Roundtables will include:
HR Office Staffing Metrics – how many HR staff members does it take to change a lightbulb (or the world)?;
Applicant Rage;
Wage Surveys;
National Park Hospitality Association Update; and
Maintaining Consistent Performance Evaluation Standards.

On Monday, October 31 (Happy Halloween – and yes, bring a costume!) we’ll mix in Conference Sessions with Stretch and Snack Breaks, and we’ll close the day with a Hauntingly Fantabulous Group Dinner.

Tuesday, November 1, we’ll schedule the morning with more great conference sessions, then break away at lunch time to take in the sights of the local area. We’ll have suggestions for hiking, shopping, eating, relaxation and more. This “Afternoon Adventure” is always more fun when shared with one or more fellow SHRA members!

Wednesday, November 2, another fabulous, full day of conference sessions. You won’t want to miss a minute of it! We’ll venture out for a taste of the local cuisine for dinner.

The Conference officially ends when we say good-night on Wednesday, though you will want to plan your travel for Thursday, November 3.   And, for those of you who can’t get enough of the Tucson sun and blue skies (or maybe just the pool and the great escape!), the La Paloma has graciously extended our group room rate if you choose to extend your stay. Talk to your reservations agent about that “add on” option.
